HISTORY
The Department of Physics was established in the year1981 with pre degree classes and degree department in the year 1993 with an amble vision to provide necessary undergraduate in Physics to the socially, economically and geographically backward area of Malappuram District of Kerala. The course started with five teaching staff members and two Laboratory Assistants. The Department have three spacious classrooms with ICT facilities, named as AURORA ,QUARK & SPECTRUM and two laboratories in the name of two famous indian Scientists Prof. C.V. RAMAN and Prof. S.N. BOSE. In the Successive year, the Govt. of Kerala has sanctioned an increase in the intake of students from 24 to 32. The department of Physics is celebrating its Silver Jubilee after the insertion of degree course. The department is planning a year long programme in the Silver Jubilee Year. In the silver jubilee year the Department have shifted to a new block.
